AltDaily sent their camera man out to the first annual Farm to Fork event that was held on September 11, 2011 at the Hampton Roads AREC station. Check out this video diary of a fun, local food celebration!

The Hampton Roads Show invited BFBLHR to be their live studio audience on Friday, July 29th, 2011 and interviewed us about the upcoming Summer 2011 Farm to Feast Week event.

Founder and Former President of Buy Fresh Buy Local Hampton Roads, Jo Ann Hofheimer, was covered in an article for The Beacon, March 24th, 2011.

Congratulations to two special Buy Fresh Buy Local folks who were honored at the Virginia Beach Excellence in Agriculture banquet recently!  Pete Schultz, director of the Hampton Roads Agriculture Research and Extension Center and husband of Lynn Schultz, vice-president of our area Buy Fresh Buy Local group, was presented the2010 Friend of Agriculture Award Laura Wood Habr, owner ofCroc's Bistro on 19th Street and a member of our Buy Fresh Board of Directors, was honored with a Special Recognition Award

BFBLHR was a participant in Jack Johnson's "All At Once" tour, which raises money for local charities. We created this video, which was posted on the All At Once website. Everytime the video was viewed, Jack Johnson's foundation donated $1 to BFBLHR. In November BFBLHR was gifted $2500 by the All At Once Foundation.

In November 2010, WVEC, Channel 13 News did a story covering BFBLHR's Farm to Feast Week Event where local restaurants feature fixed-price, three course meals incorporating fresh, local produce, seafood and meats. Restauranteur Todd Jurich and BFBLHR Volunteer, Tanya Banks talk about why this event is so important for Hampton Roads.

Farm to Feast Week was also covered by various local journalist and writers including Jane Bloodworth Rowe and Lorraine Eaton.

In October 2009, Lorraine Eaton highlighted Buy Fresh Buy Local HR's first Food Guide in her column.
