Local Kiwis Are In 

Call Carol Watkins of Watkins Kiwi Farm at 650-3456 and place an order for kiwi fruits that are grown on Knotts Island. Leave your name, how many kiwis you want and your phone number. Kiwis are 25 cents apiece.

    You can pick them up from her on either Saturday Jan. 7th or Jan. 14th, 10 - 2pm, at theVirginia Beach Farmers Market, Dam Neck Road. If she hasn't sold out, she may deliver to the Farmers Market once more on Jan. 22.

CSA Enrollment Time!

Mattawoman Creek Farms on the Eastern Shore also has opened their CSA enrollments for 2012. Mattawoman is expanding its certified organic acreage from 11 to 44 acres in 2012 and will be growing several new crops. Visit their website for more details.
